Gopia Tex (GT) - is one of the leading exponents of collar manufacturing in the textile city of Tirupur, India with large number of computerized collar making machines in the market meeting the requirements of the leading exporters in spread over the various parts of India.


GT is managed by Mr. C. Gopalakrishnan, a doyen in collar making in India with an experience of over 3 decades in the knitting industry. He has got a well established collar making unit with business relationship with leading exporters across the nuke and corner of India.

GT has gone for vertical integration taking into account the wide clientele network it has gained from the collar making operations. Garments with attractive printing have captured the global market and the prices of the garments depend upon the attractive printing of images and catchy words in addition to the texture of the garment. Printing is a value addition to the product and it enhances the value of the product.


GT has recently established a separate unit GOPIA PRINTS (GP) for Automatic computerized flat bed printing and installed 3 numbers of s.roque machines from Portugal.

Corporate Social Responsibility

Mr. C. Gopalakrishnan is a philanthropist and allocated a portion of his revenue for meeting the social responsibility of the industry. He is an active member of Rotary Club of Knit City, Tirupur and was a President for one term. During his tenure the club has adopted a village for medical assistance and also carried out a literacy drive. Majority of his workforce are from women folk drawn from rural areas thereby women empowerment is being encouraged from the grass-root level. He has provided residential quarters for the laborers near the work place with food and medical facilities. He is well respected in the business circle for his honesty, able leadership and human approach towards downtrodden.

He is the current Treasurer of South India Imported Machine Knitters Association [ SIIMKA ], Tirupur. Through which the SIIMKA Knit Fabric Cluster Service Pvt. Ltd., with 25 Members, is initiated, with Central and State Government grant, to provide training in Circular and Flat Knitting for skill improvement of Knitting workmen.
